• Why should I perform on BLive?

  BLive Music was founded on the idea that musicians at any level of experience who want a place to play should not be limited by geography, health, or, really, anything. But we also founded BLive with the idea that we are a platform for musicians, which means we have unique features like hosts, applause, and tools for helping with promotion.

• Who is BLive for?

  If you can play music, you can perform on BLive. Just sign in and get started!

• How hard is it to sign up to perform?

  Not hard at all! In fact, it’s incredibly easy. Simply sign into the app, add a few details about yourself and your music, and you’ll be ready to schedule a show. The short video above walks you through the steps.

• Why would I want a host?

  One thing we learned from talking to lots and lots of musicians is that many of you are actually quite shy. Hosts are the coaches who push you to reach your goal. They can help promote your show and talk you up when you might feel hesitant to do so yourself. Once you’re in the show, they run the controls so you can focus on playing, plus they chat with you to make you feel more at ease. No nerves, no anxiety.

• Who are the hosts?

  Anyone—and we mean anyone—can be a host on BLive. You can choose from our list of available hosts as you schedule a show, or you can invite a friend, a manager, or even your Great Aunt Zelda. So far, Auntie Zelda hasn’t committed to a firm date but we’re working on her.

• How do I get people to see my show?

  Tell them about it! And tell them to perform, too! Also, use a host to help you! BLive has sharing features such as cards you can download and use in your social posts and stories. Our social media superstar has lots of tips in a video above.

• What if I’m not ready to perform?

  Are you sure you’re not ready to perform? Let’s talk about it. BLive is intentionally a low-barrier platform for you to do what you’d be doing anyway—playing your music. We are less about big event and more about intimate, authentic connection between artist and music lover.

• What does it cost?

  As a performer, it costs you nothing. Zilch. Nada. We want to see musicians succeed. Success does not come from having to pay to develop a fan base. You should be able to focus on delighting the people who recognize your talent.

• Can I earn money on BLive?

  Yes! BLive has a tipping feature right on the show screen that enables people to send a few bucks your way through PayPal or e-transfer (in Canada). By having a host, you can put the burden on them to ask for cash. We are currently exploring direct payment options as well. Stay tuned!
